My name is Finn. I work for True Aluminum as an aluminum technician. So, [music] what excites me about working for True Aluminum is every job is different. [music] Every job is a custom piece. You never have the same light cage. In my position, we take care of delivering material, overseeing jobs, leaks, repairs, making sure everybody's happy at the end of our job. Working for True has benefited [music] me cuz I come from a management role. So, this gave me more time to spend with my family. True is one big family. So, it's just having [music] like a second family. It's almost like a home away from home. Meet Mackenzie Finn: Every Cage Is a Custom Piece
Finn, as he introduces himself on camera, is a True Aluminum technician, and what excites him about the work is that no two days repeat: "Every job is a custom piece." His role runs wider than screwing down panels - delivering material, overseeing jobs, handling leaks and repairs, and, in his words, making sure everybody is happy at the end of the job.
He came from a management role, and the move gave him more time with his family - fitting, since that is the word he uses for the company itself: one big family, "almost like a home away from home."
Material staging and final checks: the technician work you never see
Finn's list of duties - delivering material, overseeing jobs, leaks, repairs - describes the quiet half of enclosure quality. Before a build, someone has to verify the right extrusion lengths, fastener counts, and screen rolls actually reach the site, because a crew missing one beam profile is a crew standing still. During and after, someone has to walk the structure the way a customer will: sight down the screen lines, press panels for tight spline, check doors for smooth swing and firm latch, and chase any drip to its source before it becomes a callback. When a technician says the goal is everybody happy at the end of the job, this checklist is what that sentence costs.
