[Music] my name is jeff devane i'm a lead estimator for true aluminum [Music] i've been an aluminum business about 10 years eight of those years was on the commercial side the last two residential but my day-to-day consists of meeting clients giving estimates and just being available for whatever the client might need through their project so here in florida we have extreme heat mosquitoes humidity so it's my job to help you design an outdoor living space that your whole family will enjoy whether it be for your pool or screened in patio here at true aluminum we walk you through the material selections we pull all necessary permits provide documentation for hoas we get the job done right and we leave the job site super clean we stand by our work i get a sense of pride when we complete a job nothing is better than meeting with a client hearing their vision their ideas and then turning them into reality this by far is my favorite part of the job and it's what i'd look forward to with these new clients what's that's true apart from other companies is that we all work together to get the job done and we truly are a family i'm jeff devane and i'm your true aluminum [Music] specialist

Jeff DeVane is the lead estimator at True Aluminum, about 10 years into the aluminum business - eight of them on the commercial side, the last two residential. His day-to-day is meeting clients, giving estimates, and staying available for whatever the client needs through the project. The Florida realities are his sales pitch: extreme heat, mosquitoes, humidity - his job is to help you design an outdoor living space your whole family will enjoy.
The parts he wants you to know: the team walks you through material selections, pulls all necessary permits, provides documentation for HOAs, and "we get the job done right and we leave the job site super clean." What actually happens on an estimating visit
An estimate is a site investigation with a price at the end, and Jeff's description of the role maps it well. Expect the estimator to measure the footprint and heights, study where a structure would meet the house (fascia condition, roof pitch, existing gutters), and check the ground truth - slab or pavers, drainage slope, access for material. Then come the selections that set the number: roof style, mesh type, doors, kick plate, gutter work. A thorough estimator also asks the paperwork questions early - HOA rules, property lines, septic locations - because those bite hardest when discovered late. What you should walk away with is a written scope specific enough to compare against any other bid, and a person whose name you know for every question after. Estimates that arrive sight unseen, priced off a satellite photo, are guesses wearing a number.
